Troubleshooting

Upload Objects and Send World are greyed out

No template editor is connected. Turn on Connect to Blender in the template editor. Only one Blender can be connected at a time: close other Blender windows, or use the Blender you started first.

An object is left out of the upload

The upload dialog lists every object it leaves out, with the reason:

  • The mesh has no UV map. Unwrap it before uploading, even if no texture is applied to it.

  • The mesh is a decal. The template editor makes decals itself from the mesh they lie on.

  • The object is hidden from some ray types. Turn its ray visibility back on in Properties ▸ Object ▸ Visibility. A light may be hidden from the camera.

  • The object doesn't render. Objects and collections disabled for rendering are left out.

The world can't be uploaded

The platform's HDRI light shows one EXR or HDR image, turned and mirrored, with saturation and intensity. The addon names what the world does beyond that. See HDRIs for what the platform can take.

A render in Blender looks different from the platform

Open Properties ▸ Render ▸ colormass. If settings differ, Render Like the Platform lists them and sets them. Check the tone mapping as well: only Standard and Khronos PBR Neutral exist on both sides.

A download or upload takes too long

Its progress shows in the status bar. The ✕ button next to it cancels it.
