# Units and scale

The platform works in centimetres. Blender works in the units of your scene: metres, unless you changed the **Unit Scale** under **Properties ▸ Scene ▸ Units**.

You don't need to change anything. The addon converts between the two in both directions:

* Positions and sizes of objects
* Lengths in materials, such as displacement height and the real-world size of textures
* The size and brightness of lights, so a light shines as brightly on the platform as in Blender

Lights from Blender 5 that use **Exposure**, **Temperature**, or have **Normalize** turned off arrive on the platform with the same brightness and colour.
