CLO Import
CLO is a 3D fashion design software program. Our materials can be imported using the following process:
Export
On the platform, select a material and export it as a PBR export.

Depending on your quality requirements you may choose between 72 DPI and Original resolution. For the file format choose either JPEG (compressed) or TIFF.
If you need another file format, you can also create a custom export. The corresponding settings would be:
Workflow
Metalness / Roughness
Engine
VRay
Normal Y
+Y up
Resolution
dpi72 (low) or original
Download
Once the export is done, you can download it as a ZIP file. It contains all the required PBR maps plus some additional metadata info.txt. Unzip the file into a folder of your choice. Each map file is named according to the following schema

For above example, the material name would be 43264-07, the extension would be jpeg .
The following colormass map types are linked with the CLO PBR maps:
diffuse
Base Color Map
normal
Normal Map
displacement
Displacement Map
alpha
Opacity Map
roughness
Roughness Map
metalness
Metalness Map
specular
Reflection Intensity (see below)
anisotropy-rotation

anisotropy-strength

transmission

Import
Open CLO and select the material you would like to modify. Make sure that the material is set to PBR and the type is set to Fabric_Matte

Now load in the maps according to above table by clicking on the little icon next to each map. For the roughness, you first have to switch the type to Map .

Other Settings
Some additional settings may be needed to be setup manually
Base Color ⇒ Color
White / FFFFFF
Normal Map ⇒ Intensity

Opacity ⇒ Opacity

Reflection ⇒ Roughness ⇒ Map Intensity

Displacement Amount
For the Displacement Map you would need to setup an additional Amount (mm) value. You can find this in the info.txt of the downloaded zip file. Note that this is provided in cm but CLO expects mm, so you would have to multiply this value by a factor of 10.
Reflection Intensity
The reflection intensity is a parameter in CLO that allows boosting the specular intensity. This should be set to 0 to just use the specular information provided "as-is" from the PBR maps.
Accuracy
By default, we calculate more maps than CLO can handle. As a consequence, if you have to leave out some of these maps in CLO, this can slightly reduce the fidelity of the CLO visualization compared to the physical material.
If you only want CLO suited maps as an end result, we can also directly calculate just this reduced set of maps that CLO supports. This will make the result as good as they can get in CLO.
Please contact us in this case.
Result
Results are best shown using rendering in CLO. Note, however, that CLO does not support all the information provided by the colormass PBR scanner (such as anisotropy and transmission).
